Transport of getting to and from the airport

Pudong airport is about 30 kilometers southeast of the downtown, and there are many choices to get to and from the airport.

Maglev train

Being the world’s first operational maglev train, it is the fastest way to the Pudong airport. With the speed of more than 400km/hour, a round trip on the train costs you less than 15minutes.

One-way ticker costs 50yuan, while the two-way costs 80yuan, with a valid same day air ticket, you can get 20% discount.

It starts from Longyang Rd. Station at 7am and ends at 9pm at the interval of 15minutes.

It is the most expensive but the most convenient transportation, suitable for those who know little about Shanghai , or with heavy luggage.

Shuttle Bus

The cheapest one in these choices. There are many bus services, such as the Hotel Shuttle Bus which goes directly to the big hotels downtown, and a special shuttle bus service into most popular parts of Shanghai including People's Square, Jing'An Temple, Xujiahui, both railway stations, and Hongqiao Airport. The buses run from early in the morning to late at night with intervals of around 15 C 30 minutes. For detailed info, click Airport Shuttle Service
